WSOP Player Count UP Again!

Just like most poker players from around the world, I have watched the WSOP attendance with concern after the events of Black Friday shut down online poker for United States players. I hoped and suspected that players would migrate to the World Series early in anticipation of satelliting into bigger events.

Apparently that is exactly what is happening as the Main Event draws nearer.

Great News: Virtually every event has shown a substantial increase over 2010.

Player count for Event 39 is again UP from the 2010 attendance, by nearly 26% (482 to 606).

Event 40 is also UP by nearly 29% (568 to 732).

I hope to see you in Las Vegas next week. I am going for the Poker Tournament Directors Summit on June 29-30 and staying for a week.

Until next time, remember my motto.

When you can't raise, don't call
