Poker players are wondering, what do we do now after the Department of Justice came to an agreement with PokerStars to acquire the assets of Full Tilt Poker. How do we get our money?
Today I emailed both Department of Justice and Full Tilt Poker asking for direction. Full Tilt bounced back with an instant email that is encouraging:

Hello Donna,
Thank you for your email.
We understand the inconvenience or frustration caused by your being unable to cash out through normal channels on-site.
However, the agreement was reached with the US Department of Justice to repay former US players from funds received from PokerStars upon settlement.
We anticipate this will happen in a timely manner on the basis of the Department of Justice’s own Press Release:
“The funds that will be used to compensate qualifying victims will come from the $547 million that will be forfeited by PokerStars as part of its settlement with the Government.”
“…these settlements by Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars, which allow us to quickly get significant compensation into the victim players hands”
We appreciate your understanding.
Regards,
Yulianna

As soon as we get instruction how to go about submitting from reimbursement, I will keep you updated. As always, Poker Players Alliance is monitoring the process and will have our attorneys reviewing all the documents.
From what I understand, the process will include filling out some government forms to verify your identity.
That reminds me of when we had a real estate brokerage and worked with government resales. Many real estate agents complained about how cumbersome the process was working with the federal government. I loved that. The more others disliked the process, the easier it was for us to make money.
I’d like to share my mindset shift daily routine.
MindSet MomentEvery day when I walked into our office and after I had greeted our staff, I asked:
- What are my rules today?
- What communications came in yesterday that changes the way we work today?
By acknowledging the fact that change always happens and by embracing it, rather than fighting against it, life was easier. We were simply more successful, happier, and in the flow.
Until next time, remember my mindset motto:
Play the cards life deals you as if you have already won.
